Technical Information

Pressable energetic compositions based on RDX with a desensitising agent. They are designed for applications requiring high handling safety together with high performance.

COMP A4 — desensitised with wax

RDX: 96.5% – 97.5%
Wax: 2.5% – 3.5%
Particle size: 6 – 100 Mesh
Moisture: max. 0.1%
Military standard: MIL-DTL-440D

COMP A5 — desensitised with stearic acid

RDX: 98.5% – 99%
Stearic acid: 1% – 1.5%
Particle size: 12 – 200 Mesh
Moisture: max. 0.1%
Military standard: MIL-DTL-14970D

Comp A4 Applications

Use as a high-performance energetic composition in pressed main-charge applications for munition systems,
Use as a high-energy explosive component in booster and explosive train systems,

Comp A5 Applications
